Water
is an intriguing late 80’s synth wave private press from a male and female duo
out of Pennsylvania. Their music
communicates an environmental message that’s cleverly interwoven within the
lyrical content. Take the song
‘Greenhouse’ - they talk about carbon monoxide effects and burning fossil
fuels, but it’s not over bearing. The
back jacket even states that a portion of the album sales proceeds will go to
The Cousteau Society. Other than the
environmental meanderings, the music is unconventional synth laden new wave with
minimalistic attributes.
